Heather Karp

Heather is an award-winning abstract painter and illustrator who lives north of Boston, and is lucky enough to have a small art studio surrounded by other artists who share her same passion for creating daily. Having lived on both the East and West coasts and places in between, she now resides near family and friends surrounded by the beauty of the marshes and woods she loves to explore daily for inspiration and peace.

Her paintings of quiet marshes and fractured florals weave color, line and composition through abstracted landscapes and imagined gardens inviting the viewer to widen their view of reality and "see" between the lines what lies beneath and between the layers. Heather's work has been described as "bursting with color and life" as well as "full of intention and emotion." She describes herself as an artist who enjoys seeing the world through many lenses.
